Christmas at the Gaylord Palms Resort - Our Private Tour of all the Christmas fun!
The Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida has so much Christmas to offer to their guests and visitors throughout November - January. There are so many different Christmas and Holiday activities you can embark on, it will help to make your holiday season a little more magical.
In this video you get a private look at all the different Christmas activities at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida. We started out with photos with the big guy himself, at Photos with Santa. They offered photo packages which we purchased in advance, unfortunately Santa wore a mask during our meeting and the photos, so they did not come out as cute as I had wished.
We continued on to the Mission Save Christmas Featuring Elf which was like a series of rooms you entered with mini challenges to complete in order to "save Christmas." it was a cute concept and neat Idea.
Little Elianna got to make her own special friend at the Build A Bear Workshop located in the Market Square Retail area which had so many cute holiday gifts. In the Market Square was Snowy's Snack Shack which had delicious snacks like Antie Anne's Pretzels and Cinnabon (which is my absolute favorite). You can also get a nice warm cup of hot coco here.
During our stay the kids loved the Secret Santa Scavenger Hunt. It sent them searching all over the hotel and required some smarts to find the next clue, it was a favorite for our family. After successful completion of the scavenger hunt the kids received a small gift for all their hard work.
My all time favorite activity was the Naughty or Nice Escape Room. The Gaylord Palms Resort really did an amazing job creating this event. It only lasts 30 minutes so its not too overwhelming for little ones and it really makes you think in order to succeed. Sadly Junior had to work during this activity so it was just me and the kids. I think we would have solved the mystery much faster if he was with us!
Inside the Snow Factory we enjoyed Snow Flow Mountain and Snowball Build & Blast. The snowtubing at Snow Flow Mountain was an absolute blast. The tubes went down super fast and it was a nice little rush of adrenaline for all of us. If you do not know about our family, I will give you the heads up, we are super competitive! So lets just say the Snowball Build & Blast got a little bit out of hand with our family!
In the Gingerbread Decorating Corner, they give you the option to decorate a gingerbread man or house. I opted for the gingerbread man for each of the kids and I am glad I did. The gingerbread house was pretty big and once it was finished you could put it into a large box to take back to your room and or home with you. For me, I thought it was a little big to be traveling with, so I was happy with the single cookie, they decorated and ate it right away.
Mrs. Clause Christmas Traditions was a cute little story time with Mrs. Clause. This is great for the little ones, but our older kids were not as impressed. At the end of the event they handed out delicious chocolate chip cookies and milk, the perfect Christmas snack which we all loved. The Same with the Sugary Sweet Storytime, great for the little ones, not as interesting for the older kiddos in the group. Also they did not provide the cute pink coco drinks we saw online. Instead they gave us a bag of candy. Not sure if that's because we were in a private group or that is the new sweet treat at the end.
We also experienced the Elf Training Academy which was absolutely adorable! We each decorated Christmas ornaments to take home and put up on our Christmas tree. They had elves walking around to assist with the activity but also to just chit chat and make the activity extra special. We had an amazing experience with one of the elves there. He was so fun and entertaining he really made our experience extra magical. Check him out in the video.
The icing on the cake for everyone was all the fun we had on the Flowrider at the pool. Gabriel and Junior got a lot of wave training in while we were enjoying all the Christmas fun at the Gaylord Palms Resort. We purchased several sessions so we could get in several hours of training. Each session is $25 per person for a thirty minute session.
We had so much fun celebrating Christmas at the Gaylord Palms Resort, we hope you enjoy the video!

We had a quick little getaway to the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida where we were conquered some fear of heights at the Tree Trek Adventure and practiced our surfing skills on the Flowrider at the Gaylord Palm Hotel.
The Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park Zip Line
The Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park Zip Line was an awesome way to practice our skills for the future zip line adventures we have in store for us later on this year. They have 4 different courses for us to experiences, each with a higher level of difficulty. We made it through the first 3 and plan to go back another day to conquer the 4th and hardest one. They also have a kiddie course that little Elianna was able to conquer for the first time. That girl did great and had absolutely no fear!
Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida
We enjoyed a quick little stay at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida where we were blessed to receive a free upgrade on the room to a suite. This hotel is huge, with plenty of space and open areas, lots of shopping, and some really neat activities for the kids including an escape room and Build A Bear. You can find plenty of activities to do just in the hotel alone. Located on the grounds of the Gaylord Palms Resort is the Cypress Springs Water Park which has an actual Flowrider on site. The water park and Flowrider are only available to guests staying at the Gaylord Palms Resort. There is no additional cost for the pool and water slides however, the Flowrider must be reserved for $25 per person for a 30-minute session. We spent the day by the pool in a luxury cabana which we reserved in advance along with multiple slots at the Flowrider to enjoy and practice our surf carving skills. Gabriel and Junior picked it up really quickly and practiced lots of different skills. Danielle on the other hand, was just happy she was able to stand up on the board. There are a few fails in the video that you do not want to miss so be sure to check it out.
We hope you enjoy our video!!!
